Terms of use
These Terms of use govern access to FeeVerdict Observatory (feeverdict.com) and related pages, tools, and APIs. By using the site you agree to these terms.
Last updated: September 2026.
Acceptance
If you do not agree, do not use FeeVerdict. Continued use after we post changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
What FeeVerdict is
FeeVerdict is an independent package fee observatory. We publish comparisons between carrier-published tariffs and observed brokerage amounts for Canada and selected markets.
- Public pages show medians, sample sizes, verdict labels, and methodology based on seed data and user submissions.
- Tools (fee check, duty estimate, dispute script, self-clearance guides) are informational aids, not professional services.
- Machine-readable exports (llms.txt, facts, APIs, RSL) follow the same observational purpose.
- We may change, suspend, or discontinue features without notice when needed for integrity, security, or operations.
Not legal, tax, or customs advice
FeeVerdict is not a law firm, customs broker, tax advisor, or carrier. Content does not create an attorney–client or broker–client relationship. Decisions about paying, disputing, or self-clearing fees remain yours. For binding guidance, consult a licensed professional or the relevant government authority (e.g. CBSA).
No carrier affiliation
FeeVerdict is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by DHL, UPS, FedEx, Canada Post, or other named carriers. Carrier names appear in plain text for factual comparison only (nominative identification). Official logos are not reproduced as partnership marks.
User submissions
If you submit a fee observation or comment, you confirm that:
- The amounts and details are accurate to the best of your knowledge and relate to a real shipment experience.
- You grant FeeVerdict a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, moderate, aggregate, and publish derived statistics and approved comments as described in our Moderation policy and Privacy policy.
- You will not submit tracking numbers that identify third parties without a lawful basis, spam, fabricated amounts, or content that violates these terms.
Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to disrupt, scrape at abusive rates, or bypass security controls (Turnstile, rate limits, honeypots).
- Do not misrepresent FeeVerdict as an official carrier channel or government service.
- Do not use the site to harass individuals or to publish personal data of others beyond what the submission form allows.
- Automated access for search, citation, and grounding must respect robots.txt and our AI content licensing page; bulk training use requires a licence.
Intellectual property
Site design, copy, methodology text, aggregated datasets, and FeeVerdict branding are owned by FeeVerdict or its licensors. You may link to and cite public pages with attribution. Reproduction of substantial corpus for training or wholesale republication is governed by /licensing and /rsl.xml.
Third-party and affiliate links
Some pages may show links to licensed brokers or self-clearance guides when a comparison is above the published tariff. Those services are operated by third parties under their own terms. FeeVerdict does not guarantee outcomes, refunds, or acceptance of any claim.
Disclaimer of warranties
The site and data are provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that medians, verdicts, or tools are complete, current for every account type, or free of errors. Carrier tariffs and invoice line items can differ from published baselines.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FeeVerdict and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on observatory content. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the site is limited to CAD 0 if you paid us nothing, or the amount you paid us (if any) in the three months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date above will change. Material changes may also be noted on /updates when relevant to the public dataset.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province where the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts there have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived.
